Tabletop Tuesdays: How to Set a Formal Table

More often than not, formal tables can seem irrelevant and overwhelming.  But, they have a rich and illustrious history, and, once we understand which fork to use with which course, they can provide a wonderful space to develop friendships and create memories.

Back in the Fall of 2007 one of our employees, Jenny Forgey, published an article about how to set a formal table.  So whether you practice formality or not, we thought we'd reprint this article simply as our way of highlighting the beauty that can be created at a tablescape.  Because, really, don't you feel more special when you sit down at a table where someone has taken the time to lay it out beautifully?  We know, we do!
